'deNotarissen' (Dutch for The Notaries) is a civil law notary’s office with branches in Vianen, Meerkerk and Gorinchem, The Netherlands. We are a full-service notary practice and aim to provide our clients with high-quality expertise for a reasonable price.

We are always prepared to advise you about every topic concerning the field of a civil law notary, whether by telephone, by email or in an informal meeting at our office.

The services we provide are divided into three areas: Family law, Corporate law and Real Estate law. They are explained in more detail, below.

Note for non-Dutch speakers

An important note for non-Dutch speakers is that an interpreter is needed to execute a notarial deed. We will provide for the interpreter to be present. However, the costs for an interpreter (the amount of which depends upon the language needed) is for the account of the client.

Family law

On the 1st of January 2003, a new Dutch inheritance law came into effect. This law has brought great changes into our family law practise, especially concerning the execution of wills.
In addition to wills, the area of family law includes:

• prenuptial agreements;
• cohabitation agreements;
• estate administration;
• mediation;
• gifts;
• divorce.

Corporate law

Our main practise in the area of corporate law concerns the incorporation of B.V.’s (private companies with limited liability), the amendment of articles of association of B.V.’s and the transfer or issuance of shares.
Furthermore, we can provide services concerning:

• N.V. (public companies with limited liability);
• associations;
• foundations;
• personal companies.

Real Estate law

Real estate law mainly concerns the sale and purchase of real estate, both private houses and business units or office buildings.
Other services include:

• mortgages on real property;
• guidance with development of new projects;
• division of property into “appartment-rights”;
• division of property after a divorce or after dissolving a company;
• drawing up rental agreements;
• guidance with transfers between parents and children.
